I have found that many people, to be perfectly honest, have a compunction to be critical of other people. It seems as if they want to make a point to make someone else feel insecure about themselves. I think part of this behavior stems from being boxed in by their own limitations of what they believe is possible. They simply can’t see beyond the confines of their own lives.
Therefore, it tends to threaten them when someone else lives beyond the limitations they’ve set for themselves.
The thing is, you can never dim your light to make someone else feel more comfortable. Your gifts and your light are yours alone. They’re what makes you unique and special, and you own it.
Can you think of a few ways that you can “own your light?”
What would your life look like if you did?
