Who’s your inner gremlin, you ask? You probably know him/her well. The way I describe the ‘inner gremlin’ is the thoughts that run through your mind that take over and try to pull you down. Your ‘inner gremlin’ wants to give you a dose of negative thought processes that pull you into a downward spiral.
As many of you know, once you are embedded in a downward spiral it’s extremely hard to get out.
I think it helps to visualize your gremlin as a specific creature who looks the way you imagine.
This all has to do with the negative self-talk that we trouble ourselves with. Our gremlin helps us, but in the end we do this to ourselves. Our gremlin is the thing that sparks our minds into this negative territory.
So…..what to do? A very helpful tool is when you get into these thought patterns, visualize a scenario where, for example, you take your gremlin, put him in a box, and ship him far, far away.
How about a new gremlin who’s your best cheerleader and is all about uplifting you and creating new thought patterns that support you?
If you’re looking for someone to be a cheerleader and partner along your journey to a more positive way of thinking, I offer a free consultation call and I am accepting new clients. Contact me for more information!
